From the moment we arrived at St. Monica Catholic Church, we knew this was going to be a wedding unlike any other. Morgan and Nick filled their day with heartfelt music, personal touches, joyful faith, and a whole lot of dancing.
This wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love—it was a concert, a ceilidh, a reunion, and a sacred moment all rolled into one. From Irish instruments at the altar to a candlelit blessing at the end of the night, this day had soul.
Morgan and Nick shared a sweet and emotional first look before the ceremony—just enough time to breathe together and soak in what was about to happen. Then came the main event: a stunning Catholic Mass, where nearly everyone played a part.
Nick’s mom sang “Ave Maria” from the loft, bridesmaids performed the psalm and communion pieces, and the entire space filled with the kind of music that gives you chills. As a surprise twist for the recessional, Morgan and Nick grabbed a tambourine and bodhran and played themselves down the aisle—with a postlude performance in the choir loft to top it off.
Yes, they literally sang their way into married life.
After the ceremony, we headed over to the Mishawaka Riverwalk for some romantic and playful portraits. Morgan and Nick made it clear—they wanted to be directed (hello posing help!)—but they were naturals in front of the camera. Lots of laughter, cozy moments, and yes, plenty of silly ones too.
The celebration continued at the Elks Lodge in South Bend, and this reception was filled with surprises. Their first dance was choreographed to “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness (because of course it was), and they kicked off a full-blown Irish ceilidh—teaching their guests how to join in and dance with them.
Morgan and Nick also treated everyone to live musical performances (yes, they sang for their guests again), followed by a laid-back dessert featuring ice cream from Urban Swirl & Scoop instead of the traditional cake.
As the evening wound down, the couple passed the light from their own candles to each guest, creating a glowing circle of warmth and love around the room. It was intimate. Beautiful. And the perfect way to end a day so deeply rooted in meaning.
