For Michelle and Alex, getting married at Notre Dame was not only a decision but also a deeply personal one. Moreover, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart provided a stunning and spiritual setting for their heartfelt ceremony. Meanwhile, the welcoming atmosphere of the Dahnke Family Ballroom created an ideal space for their joyful and elegant reception.
The couple’s eggplant purple and teal color palette brought a sophisticated and vibrant touch to their wedding. Blossom Floral Design added beauty to the day with stunning floral arrangements that perfectly complemented the Basilica’s elegance and the reception décor.
The couple exchanged heartfelt letters during their morning preparations, adding a personal and intimate moment to their day. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for a celebration that reflected their love and connection.
Michelle and Alex chose to wait for their first look until the ceremony, making their walk down the aisle even more emotional and memorable. Fr. James Foster officiated the ceremony, creating a meaningful experience for the couple and their guests.
The reception began with a cocktail hour on the 8th floor of Notre Dame Stadium. Guests enjoyed stunning views and a welcoming atmosphere. Later, they moved to the 7th floor for dinner and dancing.
Michelle and Alex shared their first dance to “Walking on a Dream” by Andrew McMahon. The moment was filled with love and happiness. The evening included four heartfelt speeches and a lively dance floor. Charley Bredrup provided music during happy hour, while 27Entertainment kept the reception vibrant.
Guests enjoyed a delicious meal catered by LaSalle Catering. The beautiful cake from Carmela at Macri’s Italian Bakery added a sweet finishing touch.
The couple encourages future couples to incorporate thoughtful details that reflect their personalities. Small moments, like exchanging letters or selecting meaningful songs, can make your day even more special.
