Black Tie Meets Touchdown Town | Bethanie & Jesse

Some wedding days feel like a movie the second you walk in. Bethanie and Jesse’s day was that, but with a very Indiana twist. A Indiana Roof Ballroom reception with a ceremony at Lucas Oil Stadium, and then a choreographed entrance dance that had the whole room locked in.

Also, Jesse’s love for the bar at the ballroom deserves its own shoutout. Man knew exactly where the good vibes lived.

Getting Ready At The Embassy Suites

Bethanie got ready at the Embassy Suites, which is connected to the Indiana Roof Ballroom. That connection was clutch because it meant the day moved smoothly without a bunch of extra travel.

We started with details, the dress, rings, and all the little pieces you’ll forget you cared about until you see them photographed perfectly later. Then it was straight into the calm, focused energy that happens when the plan is solid and everyone knows what’s next.

A Quick Pop-In With Jesse And The Guys

Jesse got ready over at the Columbia Club. Bethanie only wanted a short window of coverage with him, so we kept it simple and intentional. The kind of coverage that gives you the story, the laughs, the “this is happening” moments, and then we bounce before it turns into a full photoshoot.

Five groomsmen, good energy, and that classic pre-ceremony mix of hype and nerves.

First Look In The Indiana Roof Ballroom

Then it was time for the first look in the ballroom where the reception would later turn into a party.

This is one of those choices that just makes sense. You get a clean, controlled environment, gorgeous architecture, and zero weather stress. Bethanie and Jesse got to have that moment together before the chaos, and you could feel the exhale from both of them the second they saw each other.

Right after, we rolled into portraits in and around the ballroom, including that bar room area Jesse loves. It has a vibe, and it photographed so well.

Practice Run And Then Off To Lucas Oil Stadium

Before heading out, they did a quick first dance practice in the ballroom. Not a full run-through, just enough to feel confident and shake out the nerves.

Then we headed to Lucas Oil for wedding party photos, a few extra portraits, and family photos. The goal was simple: get the epic stadium shots, keep things moving, and still leave everyone feeling relaxed.

Bethanie and Jesse said their vows inside Lucas Oil Stadium, and it was surreal in the best way. One of those ceremonies where the space itself makes everything feel bigger, but the moment still stays personal.

After the ceremony, we grabbed a few quick just married portraits nearby. Short and sweet, but always worth it, because that post-ceremony glow is unbeatable.

Cocktail Hour And A Quick Dress Change

Back at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, cocktail hour kicked off with guests mixing and mingling while Bethanie did a dress change. We focused on candids and the in-between moments that show what it actually felt like to be there.

This is also where the timeline got extra efficient. Jesse was officially done with formal photo time at this point, which honestly rules. He got to be fully present and enjoy his people while we kept documenting the story.

The Reception Entrance That Stole The Show

Once guests were seated and everything was dialed in, Bethanie and Jesse made their entrance and immediately went into a choreographed dance.

Two minutes and nineteen seconds of turns, dips, and full commitment. The kind of moment that instantly sets the tone for the night. After that, they flowed right into the big reception moments like the first dance and cake cutting, and then it was dinner and a whole lot of celebrating.

Toasts, Dances, And A Packed Dance Floor

Later in the evening we hit toasts and speeches, followed by the father daughter dance, and then the dance floor opened up.

Once it opened, it stayed open. That’s always the sign of a good party. People didn’t just “dance a little,” they danced like they meant it.

We wrapped the night with a full memory card of moments that actually matter.

• Your “reset” moments

Bethanie and Jesse’s day worked so smoothly because portraits wrapped with enough breathing room to prep for the ceremony, and cocktail hour had space for a dress change without rushing.

More breathing room equals better photos and a better day.
