Cody and Brooke’s engagement session at Cobus Creek County Park was one of those sessions that just feels calm in the best way.
Quiet trails, a little creekside scenery, and a couple who made the whole thing feel effortless just by being themselves.
Cobus Creek is a solid choice if you want engagement photos that feel natural and outdoorsy without needing a huge production.
It has that perfect mix of wooded trails, open pockets of light, and little scenic spots that make your gallery feel varied while still staying in one location.
It’s also the kind of park where walking actually feels like a date. Which is always the goal.
We started with an easy walk along the trails, stopping when the light looked good or when we found a spot that felt right.
That’s where the best photos happen, not when you’re trying to “pose,” but when you’re moving, joking around, and naturally staying close to each other.
Cody and Brooke were totally in sync. Lots of laughing, lots of natural connection, and the kind of comfort that makes the camera disappear.
We worked in a few creekside spots for a different look, a little more open, a little more scenic, and a little more “this belongs on a wall.”
That mix of trail photos and creekside portraits is what makes Cobus Creek such a great engagement session location. You get variety without having to drive anywhere, and everything still feels cohesive.
1) Wear shoes you can walk in.
This location is best when we can move around comfortably and explore a little.
2) Plan for golden hour if you can.
That warm light filtering through the trees is unreal and it makes everything feel soft and natural.
3) Keep it simple.
Nature sessions don’t need a huge shot list. A good walk, a few prompts, and your connection does the rest.
If you want engagement photos that feel relaxed, outdoorsy, and full of real moments, Cobus Creek County Park is a great choice.
We’ll keep it easy, guide you the whole time, and make sure your gallery feels like you two, not a performance.
