Jaymi and Reid’s Notre Dame engagement session was pure spring-time goodness.
Fresh color around campus, soft light, and that upbeat “we made it through winter” energy. And to make it even better, their dog popped in for a few shots, which is always a win in our book.
Notre Dame in the spring is one of our favorite looks.
Everything starts coming back to life. Trees get color, the walkways feel brighter, and campus has this classic, timeless feel that works for any style of engagement photos.
It’s also a great place for a “walk and talk” session. We can keep things relaxed, move through a few iconic spots, and your gallery ends up with a ton of variety without feeling rushed.
We kicked things off with a casual stroll around campus, stopping whenever the light looked good or a spot felt right.
That’s always our approach. We’ll guide you with prompts and simple direction, but we leave plenty of room for the real moments in between.
Jaymi and Reid were so comfortable together. Lots of laughs, lots of natural connection, and the kind of easy chemistry that makes the photos feel effortless.
Then we brought in their dog for a few shots, and it immediately made everything even more fun.
We love when couples include their pets because it makes the session feel more personal. It also brings out those candid reactions you can’t fake, the laughs, the “stay here for two seconds please,” and the sweet moments when your pup decides to be a perfect little model.
We kept it simple, grabbed a handful of photos together, then let the dog take a break while we finished the rest of the session.
1) Bring a helper.
Having a friend or family member there to hold the leash between shots makes everything smoother.
2) Pack a few basics.
Treats, water, and a lint roller go a long way.
3) Keep the dog portion short.
We’ll knock out the pet photos early, then let your pup relax while we finish the session.
If you want engagement photos that feel classic, fun, and full of real moments, Notre Dame is always a solid choice, especially in the spring.
And if your dog needs to make a cameo, even better. We’ll keep it easy, guide you through everything, and make sure your gallery feels like you two from start to finish.
