Emma and Vince’s wedding at Stan Mansion in Chicago was everything they dreamed of: a mix of elegance, charm, and deeply personal touches. With just 75 of their closest loved ones, they created an intimate yet vibrant celebration that was as unique as their love story. After many years of anticipation, their day finally came together beautifully, resulting in a celebration that was not only unforgettable but also filled with joy and laughter.
Emma and Vince fell in love with the elegance and history of Stan Mansion. “The entire venue is GORGEOUS—so charming, elegant, and full of personality,” Emma said. The historic details and timeless architecture provided the perfect backdrop for their black-and-white-themed wedding, which beautifully balanced sophistication with their fun, creative vibe.
Every detail of their day told a story. Emma handmade all of the decor, from feather poofs to paper roses crafted from copies of the opera where she and Vince first met. Their bridesmaids carried custom feather fans instead of bouquets, adding a whimsical touch to the ceremony. Even their ring bearer, Monte, wore a custom-made tuxedo, stealing hearts and adding extra flair.
Emma used her family’s tartan to create the cord for their handfasting ceremony, honoring the Lindsay clan. These thoughtful and personal elements infused the day with a deep sense of connection and meaning.
Emma and Vince gave their guests a reception full of surprises and laughter. They timed the release of pizza, hot dogs, and tacos to keep everyone energized. The delicious treats added fun and excitement throughout the night. Their first dance to “If We Were Vampires” by Jason Isbell captured both elegance and intimacy.
At midnight, the couple shared a special toast of homemade limoncello with their guests. This heartfelt moment brought the night to a memorable close before their sparkler send-off.
Their advice to future couples is to embrace the fun and personal side of wedding planning. From handmade decor to limoncello toasts, their day showed how creativity and personality can make a wedding truly unforgettable.
Emma and Vince had this to say about working with Wes:
“Wes was a DREAM to work with—BOOK HIM ASAP! When our videographer fell through last minute, Wes stepped up, used his own equipment, and captured every second of our ceremony. He called, emailed, and checked in during the months leading up to our wedding, even reaching out on our elopement day to congratulate us. He helped solidify our vision and theme, and made sure we didn’t lose a single moment. WHAT WEDDING VENDOR DOES THIS?! His work speaks for itself, but his care and kindness are unmatched. Book this guy NOW!”
