From the moment we arrived at The Morris Estate, we knew this was going to be one of those weddings that sticks with you the kind of day where the emotion, the history, and the people all blend into something truly memorable.
The Morris Estate, with its iconic white chapel and warm, welcoming staff, was the perfect backdrop for Kristyn and Jared’s day. The historic charm and elegant simplicity fit their vintage-inspired wedding style beautifully, with soft purples and blues throughout the florals that reflected each of their favorite colors.
Every wedding has its behind-the-scenes story and for these two, it was all about the groomsmen’s ties. Despite ordering them well in advance, the ties didn’t arrive in time and were stuck at a nearby post office. With just hours to spare, Krissy made an emergency Kohl’s run and some last-minute tie-swapping magic happened thanks to their amazing ushers. Crisis averted. And fun fact? The original ties showed up the day after the wedding.
The ceremony itself was one of the most emotional and heartfelt we’ve witnessed. What was planned as a simple communion turned into a spontaneous time of worship. In that moment, surrounded by friends and family, it was clear just how deep Kristyn and Jared’s love runs not just for each other, but for the people who have supported them on this journey.
One of our favorite details? The antique Avon glassware they used for communion. A nod to Jared’s family traditions, and such a meaningful, timeless touch.
Once the “I do’s” were said, it was time to celebrate and this crew knew how to do it right. From heartfelt toasts to a cake by Sweet Em’s that had everyone going back for seconds, the entire evening was filled with laughter, hugs, and joy. These two had worried about singing a song during the day but ultimately decided to hold off and it turned out to be the perfect call. They got to soak in the celebration and be fully present, no pressure needed.
At the end of it all, Kristyn and Jared were able to look back on their wedding day and say it was exactly what they’d hoped for. A little vintage, a little worshipful, and a whole lot of love.
To the newlyweds: thank you for trusting us with your day. We are so excited for the journey ahead of you, whether it’s building a life in ministry, traveling, or starting your family.
