Nestled in the heart of Buchanan, Michigan, Kylie and Shaun’s wedding at Serenity Woods Summitt was the kind of celebration that hits every mark fun, emotional, and full of charm. From heartfelt moments with family to a surprise twist during the ceremony, this day brought it all.

Getting Ready & Down the Aisle

Both Kylie and Shaun got ready on-site, surrounded by the calming woodland views of Serenity Woods. Kylie’s details included her rings and quiet moments with her family, while Shaun and his crew shared beers and talked trucks, cars, and all things horsepower.

The couple chose not to see each other until the ceremony and the wait was totally worth it. Their outdoor ceremony was the perfect blend of rustic and romantic, with nature as their backdrop and their loved ones cheering them on. As they exchanged vows, laughter and tears flowed freely… and then came the surprise gender reveal right after saying “I do”! A truly one-of-a-kind moment that had the entire crowd buzzing.

Golden Hour Portraits & Cozy Moments

After the ceremony, we explored the property’s surrounding woods for couple portraits. These two absolutely rocked their session romantic one second, playful the next. That perfect mix of cozy, silly, and sweet came through in every frame. They trusted us with full direction, and we had an absolute blast creating beautiful, natural photos that reflected exactly who they are.

Reception Fun, Cake, and First Dances

As golden hour rolled in, guests were already sipping drinks and mingling under the open sky. The vibe was laid back and easygoing just the way Kylie and Shaun wanted it. After dinner, the couple shared their first dance surrounded by friends and family, followed by sweet parent dances that left few dry eyes in the room.

Their color palette of orange and ivory gave the space a warm and welcoming glow, and every detail from the florals to the handmade cake reflected their down-to-earth personalities.
