Kate and Jake’s Hedwig Wedding was a perfect blend of elegance, warmth, and unforgettable moments. Surrounded by 200 of their closest friends and family, they celebrated their love with a heartfelt ceremony and a lively reception at St. Hedwig Memorial Center in South Bend.

A Ceremony Filled with Love

Their wedding ceremony took place at The Res, where Kate and Jake exchanged vows in a meaningful and intimate setting. The couple chose Clair de Lune by Debussy for Kate’s walk down the aisle, adding a timeless and romantic touch. Their best friend, Ren, officiated the ceremony, making the moment even more special. The setting, surrounded by nature and soft sunlight, created the perfect ambiance for their vows.

One of the most touching surprises of the day was Kate’s grandmother’s 100th birthday celebration. The couple honored her milestone with a special birthday cake, ensuring she felt just as cherished on their wedding day.

A Reception at St. Hedwig Memorial Center

Following the ceremony, guests gathered at St. Hedwig Memorial Center for a beautifully decorated reception. The couple embraced a color palette of navy, gold, and wine, creating an elegant and inviting atmosphere. Twinkling string lights, eucalyptus garlands, and deep jewel tones filled the space, bringing their vision to life.

The couple’s dessert bar, put together by Jake’s mom, was a guest favorite. A small, hand-piped wedding cake complemented an assortment of mini cupcakes and cheesecakes. The couple also DIY’d a shadow box guest book, where guests signed wooden hearts, leaving behind sweet messages and advice.

For their first dance, Kate and Jake chose This Must Be the Place by Kishi Bashi, a heartfelt moment that set the tone for the night. The dance floor remained packed as South Bend Premier kept the energy high with an incredible mix of music.

A Day to Remember

Kate and Jake’s wedding day was a celebration filled with love, laughter, and meaningful moments. From the intimate ceremony to the joyful reception, every detail reflected their personalities and love story.
