Karina and Andrew’s engagement session at Waterfall Glen had two things we love, personal details and a little adventure.
They brought her dad’s vintage car for the session, which instantly made everything feel more meaningful. Then we finished off near a small waterfall for something scenic and calm to round out their gallery.
Waterfall Glen is a great location when you want natural scenery and room to explore.
It has trails and greenery that keep the backgrounds clean, and it gives you space to slow down and let the session feel like a real day together instead of a rushed photoshoot.
Bringing a meaningful item into your engagement session is one of the best ways to make the photos feel like your story.
Her dad’s vintage car was that detail for Karina and Andrew. It gave us a classic, slightly cinematic look, and it also added that “this is part of our real life” feeling that makes engagement photos hit harder later on.
We captured a mix of portraits with the car and candid moments around it, the kind of photos that feel both stylish and personal.
After the car photos, we made our way to a small waterfall area to switch up the vibe.
Water always adds something. Texture, movement, and a calm energy that makes portraits feel grounded. The waterfall spot gave us a scenic finish that balanced perfectly with the structured, vintage feel of the car portion of the session.
1) Bring something meaningful.
A car, a shared hobby, a picnic, something that’s actually part of your life together makes photos more personal immediately.
2) Wear shoes you can walk in.
If we’re exploring trails to find a waterfall spot, comfort matters.
3) Build in a little time for variety.
Starting with the car, then ending at a scenic spot gives you two looks without feeling like two separate sessions.
If you want engagement photos that feel like your story, not a generic checklist, we’re all about that.
Bring the meaningful details, pick a location you love, and we’ll help shape it into a gallery that feels natural, fun, and timeless.
