Sarah and Dean’s engagement session was the perfect mix of fun chaos and laid-back vibes.
We started at Airway Fun Center for arcade games and that playful, date-night energy, then headed to Grasshopper Farms for a totally different look with relaxed portraits on a cannabis farm.
Starting at an arcade is always a win because it gives you something to do right away.
No awkward “what do we do with our hands?” moments. You’re playing games, laughing, trash-talking a little, and the photos feel natural because you’re focused on each other, not the camera.
Airway Fun Center brought the perfect vibe for Sarah and Dean. Bright lights, fun energy, and a bunch of candid moments that just happened on their own.
If you’re nervous about photos, building your session around an activity is the easiest way to relax.
It feels like a date, not a photoshoot. And you end up with images that actually represent what you love doing together.
Arcades are especially great because they naturally create movement, interaction, and genuine reactions.
After the arcade, we switched the vibe completely and headed to Grasshopper Farms.
This part of the session was more relaxed and scenic. Open space, natural textures, and that calm, grounded feel you get when you’re outside and away from the city buzz.
It was the perfect contrast to the arcade, and it gave their gallery a ton of variety without feeling random. Fun and playful up front, then chill and romantic to wrap things up.
1) Start with the activity.
It helps you warm up fast and makes the first half feel effortless.
2) Bring a second outfit if you want the gallery to feel more “two-part.”
One look for the arcade, one for the farm, and your photos instantly feel more varied.
3) Keep the locations close if possible.
Two locations is the sweet spot for variety without feeling rushed.
4) Don’t worry about perfection.
Arcade sessions are supposed to be a little chaotic. The laughs and reactions are the best part.
If you want engagement photos that feel fun, personal, and actually represent your relationship, we’re all in.
Arcade games, breweries, bookstores, hiking trails, your favorite spots, bring us your idea and we’ll help you turn it into a session that feels like a date, not a checklist.
