Alex and Michelle came back for an anniversary portrait session at Notre Dame, and we love this kind of session so much.
Getting to photograph couples again after the wedding is one of the best parts of what we do. No pressure, no timeline, just a chance to celebrate where you’re at now and walk away with photos that feel like you two.
Anniversary sessions are such an underrated way to celebrate your relationship.
Life changes fast. Styles change. You change. And it’s honestly pretty amazing to have updated photos that show what your connection looks like now, not just what it looked like on one day.
Plus, you already know how to be together. That comfort makes the whole session feel easy.
Notre Dame is a perfect location for anniversary portraits because it always looks timeless.
The architecture, the clean lines, the greenery, and all the little pockets of great light make it feel elevated without feeling stiff.
It’s also a great place for a simple “walk and talk” session. We can move around, keep things natural, and build a gallery with a ton of variety without traveling all over.
We kept Alex and Michelle’s session simple. A relaxed walk around campus, a few classic portrait stops, and plenty of time for the candid moments in between.
That’s always our approach. We’ll guide you where to stand and what to do, but we also leave room for the real stuff, the laughs, the little looks, and those quiet moments that feel like only you two exist for a second.
1) Treat it like a date.
Anniversary photos are best when you’re not overthinking it. Show up, enjoy each other, and let us take care of the rest.
2) Dress a little elevated, but stay comfortable.
Notre Dame photographs beautifully with classic outfits, neutrals, rich tones, and layers, but comfort matters because we’ll be walking.
3) You don’t need a “reason” beyond celebrating.
One year, five years, ten years, or “we just want new photos.” All valid. All worth it.
If you’re thinking about celebrating your anniversary with updated photos, we’re all in.
We’ll help you pick a simple plan, keep it relaxed, and create portraits that feel timeless now and still will years from now.
