Becky and Davis’ engagement session in Kalamazoo was the perfect two-part story.
We started at home for cozy lifestyle photos, then headed to LFG Bar & Arcade to wrap things up with a fun barcade date-night vibe. Comfortable, playful, and totally them.
Starting at home always sets the tone in the best way.
It’s familiar, it’s comfortable, and it makes the photos feel real right away. No crowds, no rushing, and no pressure to “perform.” We captured relaxed moments around their space, the kind of photos that feel like a snapshot of their actual life together.
Then we switched gears and headed to LFG Bar & Arcade.
If you want candid photos, a barcade is basically cheating, in a good way. You’re moving, laughing, reacting, and having fun, which is exactly what creates natural photos. The lights, the arcade glow, and the playful energy make the whole gallery feel like a date night story.
Becky and Davis were all-in, which made this part of the session especially fun to photograph.
This pairing gives you the best variety without feeling random.
Home photos feel intimate and personal. Barcade photos feel energetic and playful. Together, it creates a gallery that feels full and true to the couple, like you’re seeing different sides of their relationship in one story.
1) Keep it to two stops.
Home + one activity location is the sweet spot. Variety without chaos.
2) Consider two outfits.
Something cozy for home, then something a little more “going out” for the barcade.
3) Don’t worry about posing.
Lifestyle and activity sessions shine when you’re interacting naturally. We’ll guide you when needed.
If you want an engagement session that feels personal, fun, and built around your real life, this kind of plan is a total win.
Home, your favorite bar, your go-to arcade, your coffee spot, whatever feels like you two. We’ll help you plan the flow and capture it in a way that feels natural from start to finish.
