McKenna and Darby’s St Joe Farm wedding was a vibrant celebration filled with love, personal touches, and unforgettable moments. Surrounded by 217 guests, they created a day that reflected their personalities and shared joy.
McKenna and Darby chose St Joe Farm for its historic charm and stunning property. They loved the timeless beauty of the barn, its expansive size, and the picturesque scenery that offered endless photo opportunities. The venue’s rustic elegance paired perfectly with their wedding colors of wine, burnt orange, ivory, blush pink, and gold accents.
The outdoor ceremony, officiated by Josh Cavitt, began at 3:30 pm. McKenna chose to skip a first look, adding a touch of anticipation to their vows. A unique and emotional moment featured McKenna’s three uncles walking her down the aisle in stages, each handing her off until she reached Darby.
Guests were greeted with bubbles on their seats, creating a whimsical touch during the couple’s recessional to Forever by Chris Brown. The unplugged ceremony allowed everyone to stay fully present as McKenna and Darby exchanged vows under the stunning Michigan sky.
The reception began with McKenna and Darby’s first dance to I Cross My Heart by George Strait, setting a romantic tone.
Heartfelt speeches from family and friends followed, filling the room with love and laughter. A surprise mother-daughter dance brought tears of joy.
The mother-son dance added another touching moment, strengthening the emotional connection of the evening. McKenna made a bold entrance, smashing two beers together.
Like Stone Cold Steve Austin, she poured one for Darby, kicking off the night’s energy. Guests enjoyed live music from Top Secret.
Navarre Café provided a delicious meal, while Traverse City Pie Company delivered irresistible desserts. Unique events kept the celebration exciting.
An anniversary dance, a garter toss, and a bouquet toss added to the fun. Glow sticks lit up the dance floor all night.
At sunset, McKenna and Darby slipped away for intimate photos, capturing the magic of golden hour on St Joe Farm’s stunning property. Earlier in the day, McKenna surprised Darby with a letter revealing a secret bucket list adventure: a private helicopter hog hunt in Texas. His reaction added another unforgettable layer to their special day.
McKenna encourages couples to embrace the day fully, let their personalities shine, and add fun surprises to make the experience unforgettable.
McKenna and Darby’s St Joe Farm wedding blended heartfelt moments with fun and unique traditions, creating a day that reflected their love and personalities. From emotional ceremonies to energetic reception moments, it was a celebration to remember.
