Eliza and Frank’s Notre Dame engagement session was classic campus energy with a fun twist.
We wandered around Notre Dame, hit a mix of iconic spots and quieter corners, and then somehow got the extra cool bonus of stepping onto the hockey field for a few photos.
Notre Dame is one of our favorite places to shoot because it checks every box. Architecture, clean lines, great light, and enough variety that your gallery feels like a full story without needing a bunch of locations.
Eliza and Frank fit the vibe perfectly. Relaxed, connected, and down to just enjoy the walk together while we captured the real stuff.
We started the session the best way possible. Just strolling campus and letting them settle in.
A lot of couples worry they will feel awkward in front of the camera, but walking is the cheat code. You’ve got movement, you’re talking, you’re laughing, and suddenly the photos look natural because they are.
Then came the fun part. We were able to get onto the hockey field for a few portraits, and it instantly changed the vibe of the session.
It felt personal, a little unexpected, and just plain cool. The open space, the lines, the venue energy, it gave us a totally different look from the rest of campus while still feeling connected to their Notre Dame story.
1) Start with a walk.
We’ll grab a few clean portraits early, but walking helps you warm up fast and it makes the candids happen naturally.
2) Add one “personal” spot if you can.
A stadium, a rink, your favorite campus corner, anything that feels connected to your story. It makes the gallery feel even more you.
3) Keep the plan simple.
Notre Dame has plenty of variety without over-scheduling. A handful of great areas is all we need.
If you want engagement photos at Notre Dame that feel natural, timeless, and full of real moments, we’ve got you.
We’ll help you pick the best spots, keep everything flowing, and make sure your session feels like a good time from start to finish.
