When Kaitlyn and David chose Something Blueberry Wedding Barn as their venue, it was more than just a location it was a vibe. Surrounded by the breeze of open country air, pops of green, and their closest family and friends, these two leaned into their passions, priorities, and people to create a wedding day that felt unapologetically them.
From the moment they visited the venue (two years before their wedding, no less), Kaitlyn and David knew it was the one. With its wide-open green spaces, rustic charm, and a budget-friendly BYOB and self-cater setup, Something Blueberry gave them the perfect mix of beauty and flexibility. Plus, the owners personally ran the event something the couple loved knowing came with extra care.
Kaitlyn walked into Bridal Elegance with one dress in mind and left with it. A classic A-line gown that didn’t look like much on the hanger but ended up being the exact dream dress once it was on. No second-guessing. No regrets. Just the one.
As for David? He was more anxious about kissing in front of a crowd than anything else. (Spoiler: he did great.)
Both Kaitlyn and David were excited and ready for their big day to arrive and be over. Between the budgeting, the decorating, and the anticipation, it was a relief to finally step into their moment. Their favorite parts? Easy: hearing heartfelt speeches, receiving a surprise guitar from David’s family, and soaking in one rare truth… everyone they loved was in one place, celebrating with them.
Everything from the food to the florals was crafted by Kaitlyn and David or their families. Bouquets made with flowers from Fifty Flowers. Centerpieces pulled from Pinterest and adapted with a personal flair. Home-cooked catering from Kaitlyn’s parents that left no guest hungry. Even the Spider-Man theme was a nod to one of the first movies they watched when they started dating.
As the night came to a close, the couple shared one final dance just the two of them and let it all sink in. That was the moment they’ll carry with them forever.
For a couple who had been planning their lives together since they were thirteen, this was more than a wedding. It was a celebration of everything they’ve built and everything that’s still to come.
