Some weddings are high energy from start to finish. Others are slow and sentimental. But Chelsea and Devin’s day? It was the best of both. Held at the beautiful Covered Bridge Farm County Park in Three Rivers, Michigan, their wedding day unfolded like one big exhale. It was calm, intentional, and full of sweet surprises. They leaned into fall colors, low stress, and doing things their own way. And it paid off with a wedding that felt uniquely theirs from the very first look to the final lantern lit into the sky.
Chelsea and Devin opted to do a first look before the ceremony, which gave them the perfect moment to shake off the nerves and just be together. These two were fully in the moment and so connected, it was easy to forget the schedule and just document the way they looked at each other. Their connection was natural and relaxed, and even though they said planning a wedding felt a bit out of their comfort zone, they completely nailed the vibe.
With guests gathered under a wide-open sky and autumn leaves all around, the ceremony kicked off with joy and intention. Officiated by Angela Geurian, the couple kept it simple and meaningful. No overly formal traditions just a celebration of the life they’ve built and the promises they’re making. And right after they were announced as husband and wife, confetti flew into the air as they walked back down the aisle, beaming. It was playful, happy, and one of those moments that’ll stick with you forever.
Covered Bridge Farm delivered some seriously gorgeous scenery for portraits. From golden light to river views and trails wrapped in fall color, every shot felt like a postcard from a perfect Michigan day. Chelsea and Devin wanted lots of direction and were up for anything which made the portrait session easy, fun, and full of variety. Whether they were cozying up or cracking each other up, they brought the exact energy that makes storytelling through photos so easy.
Their reception kept things simple and heartfelt. Yoder’s Catering served up a delicious buffet, and everyone gathered under the pavilion for dinner, speeches, and first dances.
The first dance as a couple was sweet and genuine. Chelsea shared a special dance with her father. Devin had his moment with his mom. And then everyone just relaxed into the rest of the night with laughter, stories, and good food all around.
To cap off the evening, they gathered with guests to light floating lanterns ending the night in the most beautiful, peaceful way possible.
Chelsea and Devin didn’t need over-the-top decor or a massive crowd to make their wedding memorable. They filled it with intention, heart, and the kind of relaxed joy that reminds you what weddings are really about. Being present, being yourself, and beginning your life together with the people who know you best.
