I am making it more of a goal of mine to shoot in Niles Michigan for more of my engagement sessions. I don’t actually shoot much around my own town as most people head towards South Bend or Notre Dame but I think it’s really got some beautiful locations in it. It really was looking something great for Faviola & Homer’s engagement session.
As the daylight was dropping we only had time to wait in one line, so they decided to go onto the giant slide. They grabbed their burlap sacks and headed to the top, they sat down on their mats and raced to the bottom of the slide, hand in hand.
Had a great time walking around River Front Park for a few sunset photos followed by spending some time on a couple of carnival rides at the Bluegrass Festival. I really love how these images turned out, not just because of shooting in Niles more but that Faviola & Homer really felt at ease in front of the camera and showed off their connection with one another. This is why I do this, it’s amazing to watch two people just appreciate each other.
