Francine and Patrick’s love story started during their freshman year at the University of Notre Dame, so it’s only fitting that they returned to the very place where it all began to start the next chapter married life.
The couple exchanged vows inside the stunning Basilica of the Sacred Heart on campus, surrounded by family, friends, and the sacred beauty of a space that already held so much meaning. The light beaming through the stained glass. The voices raised in reverence. The moment they said “I do.” Everything felt timeless.
After their early morning mass, Francine and Patrick hosted a cozy and celebratory mamosa social at the Edmond Joyce Center’s Visitors Center, welcoming their loved ones into a relaxed reception filled with connection and lighthearted joy.
It was the perfect blend of sacred and social. And while the party was happening, we got to sneak away for some photos around campus that captured the history of their love story from the steps they once walked as students to the iconic dome shining above it all.
From the first walk down the aisle (to Canon in D, even though Francine was too in the moment to notice it) to their exchange of vows through tears and laughter, the emotion of the day was front and center.
“We were crying throughout most of the ceremony because we were filled with so much joy at the reality that we were now committed to each other for life.”
Francine and Patrick’s wedding was full of intention. From the florals beautifully arranged by her mom, to the handwritten anniversary notes from guests, every part of the day had future-focused meaning.
Some guests wrote letters to be opened on their 30th… even 50th anniversary. That’s the kind of legacy Francine and Patrick are building together.

“Try to accomplish as much as possible before the week of the wedding. And don’t stress over corsages or boutonnieres trust us, they’re expensive and rarely show up in pictures.”
“Splurge on the photo and video. This was our number one priority. Your memories deserve professionals who know how to capture what really matters.”
