Sam and Devin’s engagement session at Ogden Gardens felt less like a photoshoot and more like a really good afternoon together.
Garden paths, quiet corners, and a pizza-and-wine picnic made this session relaxed, personal, and very them.
Ogden Gardens is a great spot if you want greenery and variety without anything feeling overdone.
The walking paths, trees, and open areas give you a polished look, but the space still feels casual enough to make the session your own.
We started by wandering through the gardens, letting the session ease in naturally.
Stopping when the light looked good, chatting as we walked, and capturing moments that felt unforced. Garden sessions work best when they’re not rushed, and Sam and Devin settled into that pace right away.
One of the best parts of this session was breaking for pizza and wine right in the park.
Sharing food together instantly changes the energy. It feels familiar, comfortable, and real. We captured them hanging out, laughing, and just enjoying the moment, which always leads to some of the most natural photos in a gallery.
Those everyday moments are what make engagement photos feel personal years down the road.
Bringing pizza, wine, coffee, or snacks into your engagement session gives you something to do together.
It takes the pressure off posing and helps the session feel like a date instead of a checklist. Plus, it adds personality to your photos in a way no backdrop ever could.
1) Bring something you actually enjoy.
Food, drinks, or an activity you’d normally do together always makes photos feel more natural.
2) Wear something comfortable.
Ogden is best when you can walk, sit, and relax without worrying about outfits.
3) Let the session breathe.
Some of the best images happen when you slow down and just hang out.
If you love the idea of an engagement session that feels relaxed, personal, and very you, this kind of setup is perfect.
We’ll help you plan something that fits your relationship and capture photos that feel honest from start to finish.
