A Mishawaka Res Wedding Full of Heart, Humor, and Outdoor Vibes

Some weddings go big on glitz. Others, like Brandi and Neil’s, go big on personality and we were all in for it.

From their first look to their stuffed animal toss (yes, you read that right), these two turned their nature-filled wedding at Mishawaka Res into a personal, joy-filled celebration surrounded by the people who matter most. No stress. No fluff. Just real, meaningful moments that made the day feel so them.

Getting Ready in Mishawaka Style

Brandi started the day surrounded by her bridal party, sharing high school orchestra stories and calming pre-ceremony nerves at her apartment. Meanwhile, Neil and his crew were jamming to their favorite music and maybe poking a little fun at each other’s playlists.

Both got ready separately before heading over to the venue, and you could feel the excitement in the air as they prepped for their first look.

A First Look in the Trees, Then “I Do” Under the Sky

Nestled in the woods, Mishawaka Res is one of those hidden gems that feels like a secret escape. Brandi and Neil’s first look was intimate and sweet just the two of them and the rustle of leaves in the background.

Their ceremony was short and sweet (just as they planned), filled with laughs, love, and a whole lot of joy. With guests fully present during their unplugged ceremony, every moment felt intentional and connected.

A Reception Full of Laughter, Dancing, and a Pet-Themed Twist

After the ceremony, guests headed over to the BK Club for the reception. These two skipped the traditional bouquet and garter toss and instead launched a stuffed cat and dog into the crowd a playful nod to who’ll adopt the next pet. (Genius.)

They had heartfelt speeches, a fun dollar dance, and a whole lot of love floating around the room. And even though the day started early, nobody wanted it to end.

Brandi and Neil’s wedding wasn’t flashy or over-the-top, and that’s exactly what made it so special. It was honest. Grounded. Full of nature, good food, laughter, and the kind of love that feels like home.
