County Line Orchard Was The Perfect Fit

Alyssa and Kevin wanted something rustic, warm, and big enough to hold their whole crew. County Line Orchard checked every box.

The barn feel. The string lights. The fall atmosphere. And the guest count, because when you’re inviting 250 people, you need a space that can actually handle it without feeling cramped.

Getting Ready At The Orchard

Alyssa started the day right on-site at County Line Orchard, which always makes everything feel smoother. Details, getting ready photos, and the overall flow of the day just moves better when you’re not juggling a bunch of locations.

Kevin got ready off-site in Chesterton, then came in for the ceremony. The whole timeline was built around keeping the big moments simple and intentional, especially the ceremony.

A Private Ceremony And A Real “First Look” Moment

They chose to skip a first look and wait until the ceremony to see each other for the first time.

And honestly, it paid off.

Alyssa said one of the moments that will stick with them forever was seeing each other at the altar, and you could feel that energy as soon as they locked eyes. Quiet nerves, big relief, and that “oh, we’re really doing this” look that no one can fake.

They also went unplugged, which made the whole thing feel more intimate. No phones in the aisle. No screens. Just their people watching it happen.

One of the sweetest surprises of the day was Alyssa’s sister giving her a book filled with letters and photos from loved ones. It was the kind of gift that instantly shifts your brain from “wedding planning mode” into “this is real life” mode.

Portraits With A Little Extra Intention

Alyssa and Kevin wanted a lot of direction for portraits, which we love. If you’re not used to being in front of the camera, having clear guidance makes everything feel less awkward and way more natural.

They also planned for portraits at Deep River County Park, which is a solid move if you want variety beyond the barn vibe. You get more nature, more space, and a totally different look without going far.

Two Cultures, One Damn Good Party

Their day was all about blending both sides of their story. Alyssa and Kevin described their wedding in three words as rustic, two cultures (American and Macedonian). That mix came through in the energy of the celebration, the traditions, and the way their families showed up for them.

Alyssa also said they were a little worried about how combining both cultures would land with guests, but looking back, the only thing that mattered was that they both had fun. And they did.

Reception Moments That Hit

Cocktail hour rolled straight into the reception, and from there the night had a great flow:

• first dance energy early

• speeches a little later

• parent dances

• cake

• and then a packed dance floor kind of night

Their first dance song was “I Get to Love You” by Ruelle, which is one of those songs that feels like a deep breath after the chaos of a wedding day. Simple, emotional, and perfect for that “we’re married” moment.

Also, Alyssa and Kevin said working with us made them feel comfortable, and that we kept everything lighthearted and fun. That’s the goal every time. You should feel like yourselves, not like you’re performing your wedding.
