Allure On The Lake Was The Vibe

Arlette and Elijah picked The Allure on the Lake for a reason. It has those huge windows that make everything feel bright and clean during the day, then the whole place flips into this cozy, glowy night vibe once the lights come on.

They also loved the outdoor patio, the water, and that swing outside. Basically, it’s one of those venues where you can keep things simple and it still looks like you did the most.

Their color palette stayed classic with black and white, plus greenery and a little pop of color in the bouquets. Clean. Timeless. Still fun.

A Ceremony With Real Focus

They waited to see each other at the ceremony, and they also chose an unplugged ceremony. That combo always hits. It keeps the moment locked in, with everyone actually watching it happen instead of filming it through a screen.

They included a unity candle, which gave the ceremony a really sweet pause. It’s one of those simple traditions that turns into a quiet “oh wow, we’re married” moment.

Also, Arlette and Elijah were super intentional about what mattered to them visually. We had a list of key details they wanted captured, like the memorial detail, welcome sign, sign-in table, sweetheart table, venue photos, and an audio guest book setup.

Portraits All On Site

No bouncing around to other locations. Everything stayed at The Allure on the Lake, which meant more time actually hanging with people, and less time in transit.

That’s also a big reason couples love venues like this. You can do family photos, bridal party, and couples portraits in one spot without feeling rushed.

And Arlette’s request was clear: prioritize bridal party and immediate family, and if time allows, then grab extended family. Love that. It keeps things calm and realistic.

Reception = Full Send

This reception was built for fun. Not the “stand around and politely sway” kind of fun either. The “we’re doing all the things and the dance floor is going to be chaos” kind of fun.

A few highlights they planned:

• audio guest book for messages from guests

• photo booth

• shoe game

• anniversary dance

• dollar dance, aka pinning money on them

• bouquet and garter toss

• and a Mexican snake dance/game that’s basically guaranteed to get everyone moving

Their first dance song was “Die With a Smile”, which set a great tone for the night. Romantic, but still matched the party energy that came after.

They also mentioned sparklers or a big sendoff vibe, which is the perfect way to cap a wedding at a venue like this, especially with that outdoor patio and the night lighting.

If you’re doing a reception with lots of events and games, pick two “must-have” moments for photos and video, then let the rest be flexible.

It keeps the night from feeling like a checklist, and it gives you room for the best stuff, which is usually the unplanned laughing, yelling, and chaos in between.
