The Allure Laporte Indiana wedding – Megahn and Chris

Megahn and Chris got married at The Allure, which is gorgeous and historic location in Laporte Indiana with one of the most unqiue dance floors I have yet to see. It was such a fun wedding and the sun shone all day long for this amazing day!

The wedding

The ceremony was a church service at St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso Indiana. During the ceremony they did a Filipino tradition involving a veil, a cord and coins. I am told the Veil symbolizes the oneness of marriage. A Cord symbolizes the unbreakable bond of marriage. Coins symbolize the stewardship of earthly possessions. ?

They decorated the tables with candle lit center pieces. The main attraction for this wedding was the DANCE FLOOR, which I loved. With 27 Entertainment as their DJs, they’d have NO problem with that.

The reception was upstairs area at The Allure which has one of the coolest and more unique ballroom floors I have ever photographed – I love this venue because you can totally personalize it. Weddings at The Allure really can be exactly how you want them to be.

The Allure has so much to offer for your wedding day and can be exactly what you want it to be. Do you want an elegant ballroom? Done! A night-club vibe? Want everything in one location? Handicap accessible?! No problem! It really is one of the best places to get married, especially in Laporte Indiana. The venue offers top-class catering – and there are loads of amazing places that are perfect for photos.

The party

Once the Ceremony was finished it was time for portraits! We decided to visit downtown Valparaiso as it has SO much to offer and a variety of ideas. From courthouses, to alleyways, to parks and taco bars. It’s glorious.

The couple

Megahn wore freaking stunning wedding dress from Vera’s House of Bridals (check that train photo later on) and Chris wore got a dapper suit combo from Louie’s Tux Shop and they looked really incredible.

The couple got in touch with me through my website, and their enquiry was so personal. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they just really wanted me there. That’s my goal for the entire wedding is just feel like a friend with a camera.

“Was there anything that Westley Leon Studios did on the wedding day that stood out?”

Megahn & Chris: “He was always checking in on us to make sure we were good! Making sure we had everything we needed, making sure everything that needed to happen, happened. When our guests asked to take pictures with us, it’s like he had this radar notification that would go off and he would be right there even if he was across the room with his handy dandy light lighting you up for a bomb-ass photo on their cell phone. It was awesome.”
