Ashley & Matthew’s Haunted Mansion-Inspired Wedding at The Allure

Ashley and Matthew didn’t just plan a wedding. They conjured a mood. Set inside the dramatic halls of The Allure in La Porte, their celebration fused classic romance with the mysterious magic of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. With eerie lighting, deep violet tones, and subtle spooky touches in the decor and cake, this day was perfectly them chic, fun, and unforgettable.

Getting Ready and Nerdy Joy

The day kicked off with Ashley  getting ready at The Allure, surrounded by laughter, glam, and endless stories about Autumn the cat. Meanwhile, Matthew rolled in a bit later with the same vibe, equal parts calm and excited. From rings and shoes to the moody black and purple details, everything aligned with their aesthetic.

Their first look didn’t happen until the ceremony, but the anticipation in the hours leading up made it all the more meaningful.

An Indoor Ceremony with Spooky Elegance

The ceremony took place indoors, echoing with candlelight tones, floral depth, and subtle haunted vibes. Their officiant? None other than Ashley’s best friend, Steven Delaney, making the whole experience that much more intimate and personal.

Portraits with Moody Romance

We carved out time post-ceremony for portraits throughout the venue. The Allure’s textures and tones made for the perfect backdrop to capture all the romance, coziness, and just a touch of gothic flair they were going for. From soft lighting to playful moments, Ashley and Matthew fully leaned into every shot with warmth and genuine love.

A Reception Made for Mischief and Merriment

The reception started with grand introductions, a beautiful cake cutting, and heartfelt toasts. Their dessert table featured a hauntingly beautiful cake by Designer Desserts, nodding to their theme with rich color and elegant design.

A Day That Was Unapologetically Theirs

Ashley and Matthew didn’t follow the rulebook. They created something unique, inspired, and deeply meaningful. It was fun without being forced, eerie without being over the top, and romantic in every way that mattered.

They celebrated with the people they love most, in a way that reflected who they are nerdy, creative, and completely in sync.
