Some weddings are big and flashy. This St Patrick’s Park wedding was simple, fun, and proudly untraditional. Samantha and Jonathan wanted fresh air, fall colors, and a day that felt easy. They built the timeline around good vibes, real moments, and time with their people.
Samantha started the day at St. Patrick’s County Park, surrounded by a crew that could talk wine forever. She had a memory table planned, and it mattered. She also wanted a photo holding her late mother’s picture with Jonathan. Those details set the tone early, and they gave the day real depth.
Jonathan got ready in Niles, then headed toward the park with his crew. Their “fun topic” was Call of Duty, and the energy matched. It felt relaxed, familiar, and very them.
They chose to wait until the ceremony to see each other. That first moment landed harder because of it. Guests arrived to an outdoor setup, weather permitting, and the ceremony stayed short and sweet. They also chose an unplugged ceremony, so the focus stayed on what mattered.
After the vows, they considered a receiving line. Either way, the goal was the same. Hug the people who showed up, then get back to celebrating.
They kept photos simple, with no extra locations needed. St. Patrick’s Park has plenty of space, and the nature does the heavy lifting. Samantha wanted guidance with posing, which is perfect for us. That approach keeps things flattering while still feeling real.
They also planned a fun moment with fake sparklers. It was a great way to get everyone together fast. Plus, it gave them a big group photo with instant energy.
Cocktail hour rolled right into the reception, with dinner later in the evening. They planned parent dances, plus room for games like the shoe game and table roulette. They also had a food truck, which always fits a park wedding vibe.
This St Patrick’s Park wedding leaned into the outdoors instead of fighting it. The whole day felt like a hangout with purpose. That is the sweet spot.
Samantha’s memory table mattered, and so did the photo with her mother’s picture. Those moments are quiet, but they carry weight. They also remind everyone why gatherings like this are so important. Love shows up, even when someone is missing.
They planned a special exit with glow wands. It matched their fall theme and their playful vibe. Even without a traditional grand exit, they still wanted one last moment together. That kind of ending always hits.
